About me and my practice

You might be feeling stuck, lost, overwhelmed, or like something just isn't sitting right even if it's hard to name. I offer a space where you can speak openly, be heard, and explore what's going on for you whether it's past experiences, present-day struggles, or big questions about life and identity.

I'm a warm, empathic therapist who's able to gently challenge when needed. Through therapy, we can build a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to open up and explore things at your own pace even the bits you've never spoken aloud before.

I work with adults navigating a wide range of issues including trauma, anxiety, low self-worth, identity, relationships, and life transitions. I have experience of working with a wide range of people, including those who've experienced childhood trauma, or who are exploring who they are in terms of gender, sexuality, race, or their place in the world. I'm able to work with people exploring deeper, existential questions about the systems we live in, like capitalism and power.

I trained in integrative counselling at The Minster Centre. I draw most from person-centred, Gestalt, attachment-based and existential approaches - always led by what works best for you. I work both online (across the UK) and in-person in Manchester.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked in child protection at the NSPCC, in homelessness services in London, and I currently work in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion alongside counselling. I bring this experience with me alongside a deep belief in peoples ability to grow.

If you'd like to find out more, you're very welcome to get in touch.

Experience

I trained at The Minster Centre, completing a four-year course and graduating with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. Being integratively trained means I can draw from a range of therapeutic approaches depending on what works best for you. I'm a registered member of the BACP and work in line with their ethical framework.

Alongside counselling, I work in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for a national charity. My background includes working in homelessness services, child protection, and volunteering with refugees. Across these roles, I've supported people facing a range of challenges, including low self-worth, trauma (including sexual violence), substance use, grief, and relationship difficulties.

I have particular experience supporting LGBTQIA+ people, neurodivergent people, and those exploring identity, difference, and belonging.

Initial Consultation

It's important to find a therapist who feels like the right fit for you. I offer a free 15-minute call (by phone or Zoom) so you can get a sense of how I work and ask any questions you might have. Feel free to get in touch to arrange a chat.

Fees

Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £60 online and £70 in person (Manchester). I offer a number of lower-cost spaces for those on lower incomes, because I believe therapy should be accessible. If cost feels like a barrier, you're very welcome to get in touch and we can talk it through.

If you're in a position to do so, you also have the option to pay it forward by contributing a little more helping to make therapy accessible for someone else. If that's something you'd like to take part in, let me know during your initial call or assessment.
